JUNIOR RUGBY

Welcome to Junior Rugby in the Waikato

Whether your child is taking their first steps on the rugby field or has been playing for a few seasons, junior rugby in Waikato is the perfect place for them to learn, grow, and have fun with friends. With over 7,600 young players across the region in 2024, your whānau will be joining one of the biggest and most passionate rugby communities in New Zealand.

Why Join Junior Rugby?

Junior rugby is about so much more than the game. It's where kids make lifelong friends, build confidence, and develop skills both on and off the field. Our clubs across the Waikato welcome players of all abilities, from first-time players to those with big Mooloo dreams, in a fun, safe, and supportive environment.

Getting Started is Easy

Finding a club near you and getting your child registered takes just a few minutes. Use our club finder to locate your nearest junior rugby club, and they'll take care of the rest, welcoming your family into the fold and getting your young player ready for the season ahead.

Every Kid Belongs Here

We believe every child deserves the chance to play. Whether your tamariki is 5 or 15, new to the sport or a seasoned player, there's a place for them in Waikato junior rugby. Come along, meet the team, and see for yourself why so many Waikato families love Saturday mornings on the sideline.
