Waikato Draught Premiership A Week 5 Preview

Storm week in the Waikato Draught Premiership A competition comes to an end this week and we only have 3 undefeated teams remaining and they are Otorohanga, Hautpau and Melville. This weekend it is a top of the table clash as first place Otorohanga host second place Hautpau at Island Reserve. Another great clash will see third place Melville travel to Marist Park to take on Hamilton Marist who will be buoyed by their come from behind on Wednesday.  Te Awamutu Sports has the BYE.

LoneStar Hamilton Division 1A Week 4 Preview 

The LoneStar Hamilton Division 1A competition kicks off week 4 tonight with Pirongia hosting second place and undefeated Hinuera at Pirongia Domain from 7pm. Undefeated Leamington continues to top the standings and hold a 1 point lead over Hinuera. Fourth place Suburbs host third place Southern United as the teams fight for third and a chance to keep up with the top 2. Another key clash in this division is between fifth Ohaupo and sixth Putaruru who are both in striking distance of a top 4 spot.

Gallagher Women’s Premiership Week 4 (Kickoff 1pm)

The Gallagher Women’s Premiership begin their very own storm week this week, where they will play 3 games over the next week. Melville continues to lead the way in the Women’s division and remain unbeaten to sit at the top of the standings with 15 points after securing 3 bonus point victories to begin the season. They travel to Island Reserve this week to face Otorohanga. Second place is up for grabs as University try to hold onto that position when they travel to Kihikihi to try and stop their undefeated run so far, University sit just 1 point above their host in the standings but this is due to having played an extra game. Finally Hamilton Old Boys and Putaruru face off at Fred Jones Park for a chance to move into a top 4 spot.

Under 85kgs Week 4 (Kickoff 1pm)

Only two teams remain undefeated in the division with Morrinsville Sports and Hamilton Old Boys locked on 15 points, Morrinsville Sports are the overall leaders due to a better points differential. Morrinsville Sports have the opportunity this weekend to move to outright first if they can get an away win over host University, as Hamilton Old Boys have the BYE this weekend.

Colts Week 4 (Kickoff 1pm)

There are only two undefeated teams remaining in the Colts division with overall leaders, Leamington, holding a 2 point advantage over second place Fraser Tech. Fraser Tech do have the opportunity to move into first place with a win over University, as Leamington has the BYE this week. Morrinsville Sports and Hamilton Boys High School have agreed to postpone their week 4 clash to the later date of Tuesday 20th July.

Division 2 Week 4 (Kickoff 2.45pm)

Hamilton Old Boys and Kereone continue to be locked at the top of the standings with 14 points each, Hamilton Old Boys are the over leaders of the division as they have just a slightly better points differential. This week Jaradites have the BYE.
