Waikato signs Taleni Seu for 2019 Mitre 10 Cup.

On the back of Sevu Reece recommitting to the province, the Waikato Rugby Union is proud to announce the signing of Lock/Loose Forward Taleni Seu for 2019 Mitre 10 Cup.

Seu, 25, is an experienced forward playing over 20 games for Auckland in the Mitre 10 Cup and over 30 games for the Gallagher Chiefs at Super Rugby level.

Waikato Head Coach Andrew Strawbridge said, “We are pleased to have secured Taleni’s services for the 2019 Season. He has a partner working and living in Hamilton and I’m sure that was a significant driver in his decision. Taleni is a very talented player and his ability to play a number of positions to a high standard will provide us with some choices.

He is a hardworking man, and is always looking to grow his game. His desire to contribute within the team environment and to the broader community marks him as a special bloke.”

Taleni Seu will link up with Waikato for the 2019 Mitre 10 Cup at the conclusion of the Gallagher Chiefs Super Rugby campaign.
