Waikato Team Named for Taranaki Game

The Waikato team to play Taranaki in their second preseason encounter at Hawera in Taranaki this Friday, the 16th July, has been named. Kickoff for this match is 1.30pm. 

Waikato Coach Chris Gibbes commented “this is another opportunity to give all fit members of the squad a hit out in preparation for the tough season ahead. We are using this game to further develop our systems and structures after the Auckland game last week”.  

The Waikato team is

Players not considered for selection for this preseason fixture due to All Blacks duties & being rested include Mils Muliaina, Richard Kahui, Liam Messam,  Aled de Malmanche, Stephen Donald, Ben May and Vern Kamo. 

The match is not a first-class fixture. It will be played in two 40-minute halves but rolling substitutions will be allowed
