Waikato Club Players Take on Top Japanese Team

A 30-strong Waikato squad, made up of the province's up and coming club rugby players, has been named to play a Japanese representative team at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton this Wednesday.

The Japanese representative team is Kanto from East Japan and is made up of players from the country's premier clubs.

The game will be played at 6.00pm on Wednesday 12 May. Entry is free for all Chiefs and Waikato Season Members, with a gold coin donation for the general public. All entry proceeds will go to Waikato Rugby's official charity Pass It On Foundation.

In the first half the Waikato NPC Development team will take the field against Kanto; with the Waikato Under 20s Development team playing Kanto in the second half.
