Waikato 30 - 8 Counties-Manukau

Waikato secured a convincing win over Counties-Manukau in Pukekohe this afternoon, beating the Steelers 30 to 8. 

Callum Bruce, who today earned his Waikato blazer, scored a try at the start of the second half as well as slotting key penalties and conversions throughout the match.  Stephen Donald was the first Mooloo man to cross the line in the first half, his try getting Waikato ahead of Counties Manukau's eight points which were scored early in the game.

Waikato then managed to keep the Steelers scoreless for the remainder of the game. Dwayne Sweeney was the other Waikato player to cross the line.  

Next Saturday night (5 September) Waikato will take on Hawke's Bay at their home of Waikato Stadium.  Tickets for the 7.35pm fixture are on sale now via www.mooloo.co.nz
