The Waikato Rugby Union, one of the leading rugby unions in New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to be a passionate leader of our small, dynamic marketing team.
This Marketing Manager role will suit a motivated self-starter with initiative and a "can-do" attitude. You will be articulate, hardworking, and with a zest to get involved and make a difference to ensure we continue to foster and grow the great game of rugby in the Waikato region.
The key responsibilities will include planning, development and execution of the core Marketing activities; including Game and event operations, Brand development and overall WRU image, including Public Relations and Web, other WRU events including Team Launches, Charity Events and annual Awards night. You will also be the first point of contact for the community.
The successful applicant will be a person who has more than five years experience in a marketing leadership role with events and/or PR experience. You will have excellent communications skills, a creative mindset, a solutions based outlook and the ability to think on your feet. You will enjoy building relationships and energetically lead a small and committed team.
