Trainer Changes for Waikato

The Waikato Rugby Union has appointed Wally Rifle to be the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Waikato Air New Zealand Cup team.
While, Todd Barker has been appointed High Performance Trainer for the Union.
Both Wally and Todd are currently employed by the Waikato Rugby Union.
Wally will focus on being assistant trainer for the Chiefs until the end of the Rebel Sport Super 14 campaign, while Todd will focus on the High Performance and Academy groups immediately.
The Union will aim to appoint another staff member to lead the University and pre-Academy groups in the near future.
The change in roles came about due to the departure of Waikato head trainer Dave Edgar who has left the Union to take up a role as head trainer with Manu Samoa.
