"Our clashes against Auckland are always one of the biggest games of the season and it is awesome that this year it will be at home for us in front of our people. I'm sure they will have talked about the 2010 results this week and will be keen to get a win down here. We go into this game aware of the result we need but are fully focussed on playing well and putting out a performance in front of our home crowd that we can be proud of".
Changes to the Waikato starting line-up from the Wellington game:
• We welcome back Liam Messam to the forwards along with Captain Nathan White who moves from the bench to the starting line-up for this game
• In backs Stephen Donald returns to first five-eighth after a brief break due to injury
• In the reserves Ben May moves to the number 17 jersey, Matt Vant Leven to 18, Sam Christie to 21 and Declan O'Donnell returns to the side from injury
