• This was Waikato's highest score and first win at home against Tasman.
• Alex Bradley scored his first tries for Waikato. He is the sixth forward in ITM Cup rugby this year to score two tries in a match.
• Stephen Donald kicked more points in this game than in any game for the Chiefs in Hamilton this year.
• With his first conversion, Stephen Donald became the 18th player in New Zealand Rugby history to pass 1500 points in first class rugby.
• Save Tokula is Waikato's leading try scorer this year with three.
• Robbie Malneek played in his 49th game for Tasman. Thus there are two on the starting blocks to become the first player to reach 50 games for Tasman as Jonathan Poff reached 49 the previous week.
• The only two Vern's playing ITM Rugby this year were opposing hookers for most of the second half - Vern Kamo for Waikato and Vern Fredericks for Tasman.
