• Waikato have won their last five consecutive games against Counties Manukau - with four of these games being played in Hamilton. • Counties Manukau seem very much the Cinderella (gloom to glamour) side of the year. While Tana Umaga has been given much of the credit, it seems the team is playing well right across the board.
• Counties Manukau last defeated Waikato in Hamilton in 1997 with the 43-40 scoreline the result of Waikato conceding a big lead.
• Sosene Anesi, Aled de Malmanche and Dwayne Sweeney are the only members of the current Waikato squad who have scored tries against Counties Manukau.
• Nine of the Counties Manukau's 12 tries this season have been scored by their outside backs, with Ahsee Tuala leading the competition with five tries. Tim Nanai-Williams has two tries.
• This season Waikato have scored 71 points and conceded 87 points. Counties Manukau have scored 104 points and conceded 65 points.
