Mooloos Good For Business

Waikato's family of sponsors will be on display for passionate Mooloo supporters for the first time at home this season when Waikato take on the Manawatu Turbos at Waikato Stadium on Saturday.
Waikato Rugby has a number of vibrant sponsors behind the Union this season.
Waikato Rugby Union Marketing Manager Pat Mellsop said: "it is great to see new investment and continued support by leading businesses in Waikato Rugby. In these tough economic times it is heartening to see companies recognising the commercial and community value of rugby."
Since the opening of the Air New Zealand Cup competition last week the Waikato Rugby Union has fielded a number of inquiries from the public about the sponsors associated with the Waikato team.
Listed below is the background on Waikato's main family of sponsors:
Vodafone - major sponsor of the Waikato Rugby Union. Vodafone is currently into its sixth season with the Mooloos. Vodafone is the Union's official telecommunications provider and has its well-recognised logo on the front of the Waikato jersey.
Waikato Draught - associate sponsor of the Waikato Rugby Union. Waikato Draught has a long association with Waikato and is the Union's official beer supplier. Waikato Draught's brand is shown on the collar of the Waikato jersey.
Kukri - associate sponsor of the Waikato Rugby Union. This is Kukri's first season with the WRU and is the Union's official apparel supplier. The Waikato team is the only Air New Zealand Cup team to be kitted out in Kukri. Kukri, a sporting apparel company is best known for supplying team wear. It has recently opened its first retail store in New Zealand, located in central Hamilton.
CBD Corner Pub - associate sponsor of the Waikato Rugby Union. This is CBD's first season with the WRU and is the Union's official bar. After Waikato home games the Waikato players and team management go to CBD located on the corner of Hood and Alexandra Sts in Hamilton. The CBD logo is shown on the sleeve of the Waikato jersey.
Gallagher Group - associate sponsor of the Waikato Rugby Union. This is Gallagher Group's third season with the WRU. Gallagher Group is an extensive, multi-million dollar company with successful business units including animal management systems and security systems. The latter business includes Cardax which is the brand shown on the shorts of the Waikato rugby team.
Corohawk - associate sponsor of the Waikato Rugby Union. This is Corohawk's first season with the WRU and it is the first time this company has ventured into a sporting sponsorship. Corohawk is a family-owned Hamilton business which manufactures animal shelters, automated meal feed systems into dairy sheds, silos, water retention tanks, and dog kennels. The Corohawk logo is shown on the back of the Waikato jersey.
