Outstanding kicking by Stephen Donald saw the Mooloo's just miss out on a bonus point this evening.
1 minute into the game Donald put the first points on the board with a penalty to make the score 3-0. Tasman retaliated and evened the score to 3-3.
13 minutes into the game Tasman scores a try and converts it to put them ahead 3-10.
Referee Garratt Williamson went upstairs to the TMO after Waikato hit the line at pace and Alex Bradley was awarded the try which was converted by Donald to even up the score again to 10 all.
Donald slotted another 2 penalties just before half time to make the score 16-10.
Alex Bradley came back on the field firing and scored another try that Donald converted which was quickly followed by another penalty to bring the score to 23-10.
An outstanding hit-up by Henry Speight started the phase that ended with centre Save Tokula scoring an outstanding try which Donald converted (.... again!) 33-10.
Controversial try to Tasman brought the final score to 33-15.
Next week the Mooloo men take on Northland 2.35pm Saturday the 2nd of October at Toll Stadium.
