Finishing the Job

28th June 2011 03:59PM

First of all I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, our loyal supporters, for the commitment and passion you showed to Waikato in the 2010 season. Without your unwavering support we would not have been able to achieve what we did as a team last year. As a group we are very proud of how far we came and what we achieved, however we started the season with the goal of winning the ITM Cup and we didn't quite achieve that.

We start the 2011 ITM Cup season with a job to finish. Our goal is to win the ITM Cup and we feel we have all the right tools to do this. The condensed ITM Cup format see's us playing three games in a week, with very limited rest between matches. While some may see this as a negative, we see this as a very exciting challenge. To all of you who bleed Red, Yellow and Black you can expect that this team will give it our all, we will leave our heart on the field for you and finish the job we set out to do last season.

I am proud to be part of this Waikato team, and very excited for what this season has in store for us. I look forward to seeing you all in the stands at our home turf, Waikato Stadium. Thank you again for all your support.

Red, Yellow & Black Forever.
