Applications Welcome for Next Distribution of Pass It On Foundation Grants

Clubs, schools, community groups and individuals are encouraged to apply for the next round of Pass It On Foundation grants - due to be distributed in February 2010.
The Pass It On Foundation raises and provides fund to help advance healthy sporting communities within the Waikato and Chiefs regions. It is the official charity of the Chiefs and the Waikato Rugby Union.
In July this year the Foundation granted around $10,000 to individuals and organisations across the region. Recently the Waikato Rugby team helped raise $14,500 for the Foundation at the Pass It On Foundation Charity Quiz Night.
Applications for the next round of Pass It On Foundation grants need to be made by 31 January, 2010.

Pass It On Foundation strives to:
• Support the participation of youth in all sports,
• Foster and assist with the retention of players, coaches, administrators and referees in sporting activities,
• Contribute to coaching and training courses to help raise the standards of volunteers involved in sporting activities within the community; and
• Assist schools and clubs to improve facilities, as well as to purchase sports gear and equipment.
The next Pass It On Foundation fundraising event will be the Chiefs v Celebrity Charity Cricket game. Put this event in your diary - it is held on Sunday 31 January from 3.00pm-6.00pm at Steele Park in Hamilton. It is a great day to watch the Chiefs put their cricketing skills to test against some celebrities, as well as many will mix and mingle with the crowd on the day.
