All You Need to Know - All Blacks v Springboks Test Match

It is fantastic news that we will have around 31,500 rugby fans descend on Waikato Stadium for this historic test match. This will be the largest crowd to a rugby match in Hamilton.

The following information is designed to help you have an enjoyable experience getting to and from the game.

Get to the Game Early

To avoid queues and congestion, we are encouraging all attending to get to the game early. Remember to check your tickets to ensure you are heading to the correct seating area and the correct entry point.

Gates open at Waikato Stadium at 5.30pm on Saturday 12 September.

By 6.45pm both the All Blacks and the Springboks team will be out on the number one field warming up. Then from 7.10pm the spectacular pre-match entertainment will begin.

There are more than 31,500 people to go through the gates on this evening - so we encourage you to plan to get to the game earlier than you normally would.

Entry Points to Waikato Stadium

Gates open at Waikato Stadium at 5.30pm.

Due to the construction of the temporary stand, access has changed for some gates at the stadium.

It is important you check your tickets before coming to the game to ensure you know exactly which gate you are required to enter by. Scanners will not allow you entry into a gate not listed on your ticket.

Gate entry details for the following stands are:

Brian Perry Stand seats:

If you are entering via Gate 4, this can only be accessed by the cemetery pathway on Willoughby Park. You can not enter from the Tristram St side due to the temporary stand.

If you are entering via Gate 3, this is accessed off Seddon Rd.

Goal Line seats:

Goal line seats are via Gate 4a accessed by the cemetery pathway on Willoughby Park. You can not enter from the Tristram St side due to the temporary stand.

Wel Networks Stand:

Entry to this stand is as per normal, via Gate 1 off Tristram St and Gate 2 off Seddon Rd.

Note that access to Gate 1 is only from the Mill St end of Tristram St - you can not walk via Abbotsford St due to the temporary stand.

Greenzone:

Entry is only via Gates 2 and 3 off Seddon Rd.

Temporary Stand:

Entry via Gate 4b, access off Willoughby St into Abbotsford St, there is a new compound for people to enter into this area of the ground. You can not enter from the Tristram St side.

Hospitality:

In Brian Perry stand - entry is via Gate 3 or 4 (see conditions above). Entry can also be made via Gate 5 off Tristram St. Pedestrian access only.

In Stand & Deliver (Phoenix House) - you will be escorted to your temporary stand seats and entry to Waikato Stadium is via Gate 4b.

In All Blacks Banquet (Hamilton Bowling Club) - you will be escored to your WEL Networks Stand seats and entry is via Gate 2.

Ticket Information

All tickets for the All Blacks v Springboks match are sold. There will be no gate sales on the day of the game.

If you are still to pick up your tickets, then there is a dedicated "Pick Up" window at the Gate 1 ticket booth on Tristram St. This ticket booth will be open from 9.00am on Saturday 12 September.

Pedestrian access only.

Parking

Avoid all roads near the ground as there will be large numbers of pedestrians on these roads. There is little controlled public parking adjacent to the venue.

Season Member Car Parking

2009 Waikato Season Members receive complimentary car parks at Beetham Park, on the corner of Willoughby and Richmond Streets. However, this is limited to the first 150 cars, simply show your Season Membership card to enter.

Bus Parking

Bus parking is available, however, please contact Waikato Stadium on 07 958 5800 for more information if you are bringing a bus to the game.

Free Buses to the Rugby

Rugby fans can again take a free bus to from the CBD to Waikato Stadium.
• The free BUSIT buses will leave from Hood St outside the Knox St carpark. They will depart every ten minutes from an hour before kick-off and travel via Victoria and Mill Sts to Waikato Stadium. Passengers will be picked up at any official stop along the way..
• Buses will depart directly after the final whistle from Seddon Rd near the Mill St intersection. Return route back to the CBD is via Anglesea, Knox and Victoria Sts. Conditions of Entry

Waikato Stadium behaviour standards and conditions of entry must be adhered to or guests may be refused entry or ejected from the ground. The conditions of entry are listed below.
To enable an event held at the Waikato Stadium to operate in a smooth and efficient manner and to protect the patrons right to enjoy themselves in a safe environment.

Policy

• No alcohol
• No cans, glass or bottles
• No food
• No chilly bins
• No animals
• No air horns/loud hailers
• No furniture
• No dangerous goods
• No pushchairs
• No gang patches to be displayed
• Intoxicated people will not be permitted entry
• This venue is Smoke free
• Banners, placards and flags will be permitted at management discretion
• Management will take no responsibility for goods surrendered
• No commercial cameras
• No commercial recording devices
Stadium management or their representative's reserve the right to conduct search and inspection of any garments worn or articles carried.

Warning

Failure to comply with a direction from Waikato Stadium staff or police to leave the event venue may render the ticket holder liable to arrest and prosecution for the offence of trespass under section 4 Trespass Act 1980 which is punishable on conviction by a fine not exceeding $1,000 or a term of imprisonment not exceeding 3 months

Mastercard Road Show

The MasterCard All Blacks Roadshow is a fun day out for Waikato families to test their skills on rugby challenges.

Held at the Fraser Tech grounds on Mill St, Hamilton on the day of the big test match (Saturday 12 September) from 11.00am until 2.00pm the MasterCard All Blacks Roadshow is in town to thank the Waikato community for being such strong supporters of the All Blacks.

Parking to attend this event is off Norton Rd, with no parking available on Seddon Rd.

The MasterCard All Blacks Roadshow represents MasterCard's support for the All Blacks - which is as strong as the fans'. MasterCard have been sponsors of the All Blacks for the past six years and are committed through until 2012.

The All Blacks take on the Springboks in the Investec Tri Nations Series at Waikato Stadium on Saturday 12 September, 2009. Team warmups begin on-field from 6.45pm with Prematch Entertainment beginning at 7.10pm.
