$14,450 was raised at the annual Waikato Rugby Charity Quiz Night held in Hamilton last night.
Perry Group with the help of Waikato rugby players (Alex Bradley and Sione Lauaki, took first place in the quiz night which raised funds for Waikato Rugby Union's official charity the Pass It On Foundation.
The winners will now enjoy a corporate box at the Waikato v Northland match on Saturday 17 October and $750 worth of food and beverage.
Second place went to AMI Insurance assisted by Hikairo Forbes and Tawera Kerr-Barlow, and third place was held by Gallagher and Henry Speight and Chris Gibbes.
The generosity of businesses and individuals on the night helped raise $14,450. The money raised was from the entry fee into the event, as well as through auction items on the night which featured sporting memorabilia and equipment.
Other businesses that took part included two Corohawk teams, two Gallagher teams, King St Advertising, Longveld Engineering, Pass It On Foundation, Seales Feeds, and Te Wananga o Aotearoa.
A big thank you to the crew at the Loaded Hog and CBD Corner Pub who took such great care of us and supporting our fundraising venture.
Pass It On Foundation raises and provides funds to help advance healthy sporting communities within the Waikato and Chiefs regions. In July this year the Foundation granted a total $7500 to individuals and organisations. For further information check out www.passitonfoundation.co.nz
