Back for his fourth year in the Waikato squad, Trent can play at both first five-eighth and fullback. Trent was a member of the successful 2008 New Zealand Under 20 team which won the Junior World Championship in Wales also took out the title of top points scorer with 16 conversions and 10 penalties. Trent has a long history with the Waikato region, born and raised in Hamilton, Trent has represented Waikato in all age group teams starting at Gwynne Shield when just 13-years old.
