Matt Vant Leven joined the Waikato squad in 2010 after a season with Bay of Plenty. Matt had such an impressive season for Waikato that he was named in the Chiefs Wider Training Squad in 2011, getting the call up into the squad against the Blues in Auckland. A versatile loose forward who can cover both lock and flanker, Matt will be one to watch as he tries to cement his place in the Chiefs Super Rugby squad.
